Tin-Based Babbitt Alloy

Tin-based white metal alloy for sliding bearing linings

This tin-based Babbitt alloy is produced through controlled alloy composition and impurity management. Antimony and copper form dispersed hard phases within the tin matrix, supporting anti-friction behavior, wear resistance, conformability and impact-load performance in selected sliding-bearing systems.

01

Low-Friction Bearing Surface

Designed for sliding-bearing interfaces where reduced friction is important.

02

Wear-Resistant Structure

Antimony- and copper-containing hard phases support resistance to operating wear.

03

Good Embeddability

The tin-based matrix can accommodate small foreign particles in appropriate bearing designs.

04

Useful Conformability

The material can adapt to minor shaft deformation and alignment variation.

05

Impact-Load Resistance

The matrix and hard-phase structure support dynamic loading conditions.

06

Controlled Impurity Limits

Specified composition limits support consistent engineering evaluation.
